Weather Alert

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I am writing to inform you that we have decided to cancel school for today 1/8/24.

 It is important to note that Public Academy for Performing Arts does not operate on a delayed schedule because past experience has proved that due to the wide range of locations parents and students commute from, delayed days typically result in low attendance and limited ability to move forward in the curriculum. Instead, we close for the day and reset the next full instructional day. 

Considering the anticipated icy roads and challenging commuting conditions, we feel it is prudent to err on the side of caution and cancel classes,  as our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and their families.  

We understand the inconvenience this may cause, but we believe it is essential to prioritize the safety of our school community.  

Please stay tuned for further updates regarding the school schedule. Check for messages from teachers about rehearsals that may happen still happen this afternoon.
