School Closure 1/5/24 – Inclement Weather

School Closure Tomorrow-1/5/24- Inclement Weather

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I am writing to inform you that, due to the ongoing inclement weather conditions, we have made the decision to cancel school for tomorrow.

The forecast predicts continued snowfall and freezing temperatures overnight, which will likely result in hazardous road conditions in the morning. It is important to note that Public Academy for Performing Arts does not opperate on a delay schedule becuase past experience has proved that due to the wide range of locations parents and students commute from, delay days typically result in low attendance and limited ability to move forward in curriculum. Instead we close for the day, and reset the next full instructional day.

Considering the anticipated icy roads and challenging commuting conditions, we feel it is prudent to err on the side of caution and cancel classes for tomorrow. As our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and their families.

We understand the inconvenience this may cause, but we believe it is essential to prioritize the safety of our school community.  Hopefully our PAPA students can make a snowman before it melts away.  Please encourage your student to read a book and work on iXL!

Please stay tuned for further updates regarding the school schedule.  If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to the school at info@paparts.org.

Thank you for your understanding.

Respectfully,

Tamara Lopez

Executive Director
