Announcements

  • We are having our first Organic Planet Garden Club meeting this Wednesday August 16th during 8th period. Come help us plan for the fall.

  • Fire in Maui: Hawai’i State Department of Education: The public schools of Hawai’i Foundation is accepting monetary donations in support of the Maui school communities impacted by the devastating wildfires. Donations can be made at https://pshf.org/donations-page/ all donations made through October 1st will be dedicated solely to helping Maui students, staff and schools recover from this tragedy.

  • All students who drive are required to park in the west lot. There is no parking on the street or in the dirt lot except with permission from the executive director. Cars parked on the street will be towed at owners expense, out neighbors do not appreciate cars on the street.
  • Students are NOT permitted to go to their cars during the school day. If you have an emergency and need to access your vehicle, see someone in the office.
  • Every Friday show your school spirit by wearing anything with our school mascot, the panda, or a PAPA shirt, You can buy a school shirt or make your own d.i.y. spirit shirt.
  • Student council will be posting information in the middle school and high school google classroom for membership this week.

8th Period Lite: August 23, 2023

(8/23/23, 9/23/23, 10/18/23, 11/29/23, 1/24/24, 2/14/24, 3/13/24)

With the exception of Study Skills class all other 8th periods are cancelled to allow teachers time for professional conversations, PLCs. If you are unable to pick up your child at 3:18 pm, they may report to a study hall provided on 8th period lite days ONLY.

Seniors will meet for Senior Showcase and staff will meet for professional development. No School for all other grades.

 Health & Wellness

At PAPA we promote more than your child’s academic wellbeing.  We are focused on helping to develop their full potential through a holistic approach. As your child’s first and most influential teacher, we want to include you.  Each month we will focus on a topic related to the overall health and wellness of our school community.

In August, we will be introducing and reviewing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) competencies with students and staff.  Attached to this email you will find a link to a video created by the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) which describes SEL skills and why they are important.

Our first competency focus is Self-Awareness and you can learn more about this skill, and all of the other SEL skills, by watching the attached playlist.  If you have questions about SEL at PAPA please email us at sel@paparts.org for more information.
