NHS Induction Ceremony at 5:30 pm in the cafe’.

This is a reminder to all PJHS applicants that the application deadline is Wednesday, January 17. Please turn in all paperwork to Mr. Barrio in Room 10.

Tickets are being sold starting next week on the 15th and will sell until the 26th. A single will be $20 and a couple will be $35. If you are bringing an outside guest, the guest forms will be due on January 24th. We hope to see you all there.

We will have a meeting next Wednesday, January 17, during the 8th period. We will be starting our cold-loving seeds in clean-gallon milk jugs. If you have an empty gallon milk jug please bring it to the meeting.

Attention PAPA High School poets! Applications for this year’s Poetry Out Loud competition are open now. If you’d like to compete in the schoolwide contest, ask Ms. Wray to sign up ASAP. All forms are due by Monday, January 22nd so pick your poems and get memorizing! If you have any additional questions feel free to ask Ms. Wray or Robin Blakeman. We hope to see you compete!

eens and sleep…..Quality sleep is important for mental and physical health.  Adolescence is a time of tremendous cognitive, physical, emotional, and social growth.  Although many teens like to stay up late playing games, studying, and on social media, not getting enough sleep can cause emotional outbursts, burn out, low energy, confusion, academic difficulties, and other issues.  Research shows teens should get 9-12 hours of sleep each night.  Here is a great article about the importance of sleep.
