The UNM Dance Program and Friends of UNM Dance are hosting a Day of Dance Saturday, Oct. 24th, 2026, starting at 9:30am, filled with Masterclasses with, Nicosia M’bewe Escobar, Ph.D., emeritus Eva Encinias, and guest faculty Armando Tovar, Erika Pujic, and Carl Landa, and will culminate in the UNM Student Choreography Showcase, Resonance, at 7:30pm. All classes, events, and showcase will occur at the Elizabeth Waters Center for Dance. The cost for high school students is free and first come, first served. You must register beforehand to participate. This event is also open to UNM Alumni and to the ABQ dance community for a suggested donation of $100, which will include all classes, a happy hour, and the performance. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided for all attendants.
