Youth Risk and Resiliency Survey – Canceled

Youth Risk and Resiliency Survey, Wednesday October 27th

Parents, students and staff, PAPA students will be participating in the New Mexico Youth Risk and Resiliency Survey sponsored by the New Mexico Public Education Department and the New Mexico Department of Health on Wednesday, October 27th during 2nd period. This anonymous survey will ask questions about nutrition, physical activities, injuries, suicide, tobacco, alcohol, and other drug use. It will also ask about sexual behaviors that could result in sexually transmitted diseases and/or unintended pregnancy. The survey will measure the level of support for students provided by their schools, families and communities. There are two different surveys, one for high school students and one for middle school students, tailored to meet students at their developmental stage and maturity level. Copies of each survey are available in the front office for parents and guardians to review. If a parent or guardian does not want their student to participate in the survey they need to fill out the Parental Consent Form, and have their student bring the form on Wednesday, October 27th to their 2nd period class. Again, this survey is completely anonymous and is not mandatory. If you do not want your student to participate you MUST complete the Parental Consent Form. Links to digital copies of the surveys and to the Parental Consent Form can be found at the bottom of this announcement. Thanks for helping make New Mexico a safer place for our students!
