On Tuesday, April 4th, and Wednesday, April 5th, all dance students will report directly to Popejoy Hall. Please refer to the email sent out by Ms. Montoya for specific details.

All students not enrolled in dance classes will report directly to campus to participate in educational workshops. Seniors that are not at tech rehearsal with PowerSchool grades in any classes of C or lower will be required to attend study hall on campus on both days. Non-dance students in grades 6-11 with grades of D and below will participate in study hall before being admitted to workshops.

There is no school on April 7th in observance of the vernal holiday and Monday, April 10th is a staff in-service, no school for students.

State-mandated testing will take place at PAPA on Tuesday, April 12th, and Wednesday, April 13th in an event we call Panda Assessment Week (PAW) “PAW-tential”. As a college preparatory institution, we value the results of state testing and make our best effort to capture a snapshot of the academic progress of all of our students. We never opt out of testing and work to create an environment for students that celebrates their academic efforts while practicing mindfulness and social and emotional learning strategies. In true PAPA fashion, we work together with breakfast, yoga/mindfulness, testing, and fun learning workshops. Workshops this year range from healthy relationships, art, acting, working dog demonstration, communication skills, dance, music, and class games. Students should bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes appropriate for movement.

Juniors, the Class of 2024 will be taking the SAT. Today they will receive the SAT student guide and permission to participate in the college planning questionnaire. The search connects students with colleges and scholarship organizations. If you DO NOT wish for your student to participate in the college search service, please return the consent form with your signature to the front office by 4/10/23. If we do not receive your consent form signed, we understand that you do give permission for participation. Students will have the ability to send their SAT scores to four colleges or scholarship programs at no cost. Talk to your student about where they might want to send their scores.

Seniors, Class of 2023 look for an email from Ms. Walker with specific information about your Senior trip and cap decorating. You can start gathering your art supplies and get your design approved with her.

Calling all Tap Dancers! If you have experience or training in tap dance and want to participate in a rhythmic performance next week, you have 3 options: 1. Come to the office 2. Go see Miss Eiland in Room 5, or 3. Look at the Google Classroom. We will provide you with more information.

We are only 6 weeks away from graduation and 7 weeks until underclassmen’s final exams. Every day it is vital to be in class, on time, and have no missing work.
