A message from PAPA: Announcements Week of 10/3/22

The end of Quarter 1 is October 5th, which is this Wednesday. Have you checked your grades in PowerSchool? Do you need help accessing PowerSchool? The front office can help you, just ask your teacher for a pass. The google classroom to-do list and calendar are also helpful!

Fall Break is this Thursday and Friday, 10/6 & 10/7, No school for all.
Staff In-Service and Senior Showcase Panel on Monday 10/10/22, No School for grades 6-11.

10/11 Senior Cap and Gown Pictures and Picture Day for students that missed picture day

10/12 PSAT all 10th graders and participating 11th graders arrive at 7:30 to check in for testing. Log in to your college board account to practice and remediate skills before the test. Your results from testing directly integrate into Khan academy so you can work on specific skills you need when you log-in to your College Board account.

10/13 PAPA United Day- Wear your NM United Soccer team spirit to school, show your black and yellow for PAPA United day.

Students, do you want to continue working in performing arts after high school? Representatives from AMDA – the American Music and Dramatic Academy will be here on campus on Friday, October 14! Workshops will be in commercial dance and musical theatre/acting. They grant scholarships based on talent AND academics. Please check the lost and found table in the hallway outside of the main office for your missing water bottle and other items. Items will be donated this Thursday.

8th Period Lite Dates: October 26th, November 16th, December 7th, January 18th, February 15th, March 15th, April 19th. No 8th-period classes, study hall is provided for those that cannot get picked up after 7th period.

Friday, October 21st! Panda BamBOO Carnival Save the Date: October 21, 2022 4:30 pm-7:00 pm Come and support the many clubs of PAPA and have a scarily good time! Bwaaahaahaaaa Pumpkin carving contest, costume contest, games, cake walk, haunted house, freaky Frito pie and so much more! $10 admission includes 10 tickets A family package of 5 or more pays $40 with 10 tickets each. Kids 4 and under are admitted free with 5 game tickets. Additional tickets are only 50 cents each. Donations Needed We are in need of many items for the carnival including gift cards, candy and more.
