  • Here is a link to current COVID testing sites, You can sign up for an appointment from curative here:, or order a no-cost vault test to complete at home here: Be sure to contact the school if your student is feeling unwell.
  • Please see link below regarding upcoming COVID vaccines for children 5-11 years old. Parents can now add their 5-11 year old children to the COVID vaccination registration portal as an dependent to the parent account. This will allow parents to schedule an appointment for the COVID vaccine.
  • Our very first meeting for Poetry Out Loud will be Tuesday, November 9th at 4:25 in room 13. See Ms. J for details.
  • There is no school November 11th in honor of Veteran’s Day. Thank you to all Veterans and our own PAPA Veteran, Mr. Torrez.

  • November is National Gratitude Month. What are you grateful for? We invite all students to fill out a gratitude slip to acknowledge someone or something that they are grateful for in our PAPA community and place these in the Thankful Thursdays box on the table in front of the office. Each Thursday we will randomly select a sample to share on the announcements-maybe it will be yours!
  • The Student Advisory Council and Student Health Advisory Council will be meeting November 16th at 3:30 pm in room 2.
  • Congratualtions to Sophie Anderson-Haynie and Ekaterina Evanchov for qualifying to represent PAPA at NMMEA All State choir in January! We are proud of you!
  • Please help congratulate All State Guitarists: Jillian Miller, Nicomedes Olivas, and Nicolas Baca. In the span of only two months these students learned a collage level guitar etude, two Segovia scales (A major, two octaves and F# minor, three octaves) and were able to demonstrate a proficient sight reading ability.
  • All three students successfully completed the audition process. All three have been selected to participate in the 2022 All State Music Conference.
  • Honor Guitar Festival consists of three days of rehearsals and sectionals that concludes in the performance of five pieces each for middle school and high school honors ensembles. These students made the PAPA community proud this weekend with hard work, musicianship, dedication and their contribution to the Albuquerque guitar community.
    • Middle School Honors: Ellianna Rivera, Jasmine Blacksmith, Kyra Parrish, Lyssey Judy, Mila Brescia, Scarlett Rivera-Apodaca, Carlton Littlefield, Thaddeous Littlefield
    • High School Honors: Daniel Madrid, Kacey Sena, Cameron Nicholson, Terry Fisher, Eden Hettler, Brooklynn Augustine, Nickolas Baca, Nico Olivas
  • The dance department is offering a Master Class in Contemporary Dance led by Lisa Nevada on Monday 11/8/21. Nevada is native New Mexican and received her Master’s of Fine Art in Contemporary dance from UNM in 2015. Since then, she has formed a dance collective “Shift Dace” with Jacquleine Garcia and Kelsey Paschic, which performed in and around New Mexico before is disbanded in 2019. Lisa now resides in Brooklyn, NY and is setting works across the country that deal with conservation and climate change. Students that are participating have been notified and teachers were sent an email with details.
  • Student Council invites the community to come to their sponsored Holiday Craft Fair this Saturday, at PAPA, from 9am-1pm. You may find the perfect holiday gift!
  • The PAPA Equity Council will be meeting Wednesday 11/17 @3:30pm in Mr. Simpson’s room, room 14
