Anti-Racism Anti-Oppression Hotline Information

FILLING A REPORT

The Anti-Racism Anti-Oppression Hotline is available for students, families, staff member, community members, or any stakeholder to report school-based incidents of racism, injustice or discrimination against anyone. Callers will reach a trained department employee from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; if calling after hours, they can leave a message. The hotline was established as a requirement of the Black Education Act, passed in the 2021 General Session of the Legislature.

On Sept. 1, and moving forward, the Anti-Racism Anti-Oppression (ARAO) Portal will only accept online submissions through the Incident Report Form and/or the QR Code. The AIR team requests that all school districts, public schools and charter schools reflect this change by posting this information on their public websites by Sept. 30. The ARAO Portal Email is still available for all ARAO Portal questions/correspondence. The Incident Report form can be found here. Please utilize the portal to submit referrals of racialized aggressions within the New Mexico public school system. To learn more about the ARAO Portal, please join us for the October ARAO webinar.
