PAPA Middle School Theatre presents Improv Night! If you need a laugh, if you want to see something weird and brave, come see Improv Night! THIS week on Thursday and Friday at 7pm in the PAPA Cafe. The show lasts an hour and only costs $1 to enter. Again, tickets are $1 (cash only) at the door. Seating is limited, so come early.

Stickers, scrunchies, and friendship bracelets will be on sale Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after 7th period in front of the Art Wall this week! Items cost anywhere from 1 to 3 dollars. Come support PAPA Thespian Troupe by purchasing a cool sticker, a colorful scrunchy or or a rad bracelet. Again, that’s Monday’s, Wednesday’s, and Friday’s after 7th period in front of the Art Wall starting next week.

SENIORS! As you know, December 20 was the LAST day for EVERYTHING.  At this point in time, you should have turned in completed and updated tech notes, have your video to Ms. Hudson, have your edited and final music to Mr. Torrez, have your artist/bio statement updated & complete and have your piece FINISHED and solidified.  Your costume decisions should have been made and purchased and you should still be rehearsing your piece (in costume and/or with props) to make sure it’s polished and perfect.  You’ll only have ONE full run-through on the 21st and then you’ll perform.  Make sure your timing is DOWN!

The show is in just over a month – The music, light cues, tech notes, and other things will be turned in to the people we hired on Monday, January 13.  Changes cannot be made after this date unless they are at the discretion of our technical crew because your notes were unclear or cannot be done.

Tickets will be on sale soon!

The Middle School Reward Dance will be this Wednesday, January 15th from 4:30-5:30 pm. Students will receive invitations if they had no D’s or F’s for their Quarter 2 (not semester) Grades.  Invitations will go out today in your science classes. Hope you all earned your chance to come to enjoy our “Onesie” dance!

PAPA Lottery is Open Now – remember PAPA siblings must also fill out a lottery application. As part of the application process all students including PAPA siblings are urged to complete an essay “What strengths would you bring to Public Academy for Performing Arts?” (no word count requirement) and encouraged to attach a letter of recommendation from a teacher, arts instructor or other community member or leader who is familiar with the student’s performing art(s) area of interest.
