PAPA Celebrates Black History Month!
As we continue to celebrate Black History Month, we want to introduce you to a special woman who is a wonderful example of creating change in the world through personal education, creativity, and commitment.  Meet Marian Rogers Croak, a former Senior Vice President for application and services infrastructure for AT&T.  Ms. Croak has been granted 100 patents with an additional 100 under review with the US Patent Office.  She managed over 2,000 world class engineers and computer scientists.  Ms. Croak grew up in New York City and went to college in California where she attended Princeton University and University of Southern California and earned a PhD in social psychology and quantitative analysis.  Ms. Croak’s father influenced her success when she was a child by pushing Marian to pursue her passion for science through as many creative ways as possible, including allowing her to build a chemistry lab in their home.  Ms. Croak’s work has impacted AT&T’s enterprise, consumer, mobility services leading to the creation of new apps and services.  Her quest for human rights has her sitting on the board of the Holocaust and Human Rights Educational Center in New Jersey.  She also was inducted into the Women in Technology Hall of Fame and was honored with the 2014 Black Engineer of the Year award.  Ms. Croak now works for Google where she is the Vice President for Engineering.  Pursue your passions!
