October is Bully Prevention Month.  The PAPA Gay, Straight Alliance (GSA) has been working with Dr. Gullett, Ms. Lawson, Ms. Castillo, and Ms. Padilla to bring bully prevention to the spotlight.  Friday, October 28th their efforts culminated with workshops for all grade levels that were presented by members of the GSA.  The workshops focused on awareness of bullying, the causes/results of bullying, how to prevent bullying, and what to do when bullying occurs.  Linked, for your information, is an informational flier that was created by the GSA and Ms. Castillo.  It was presented to the students during the workshops.  Special thanks to the staff and student presenters Raven Ortiz, Jeremy Anderson, Michael Ireland, Isabella Westrom, and Graham Hudson for an excellent educational program and helping PAPA students prevent bullying!

Thank You Anonymous!

PAPA’s Theatre department had the opportunity to apply for a “wish list” donation from an anonymous donor,
via The Albuquerque Theatre Guild. We were one the the lucky recipients of a generous donation, which was
earmarked to buy a karaoke machine and karaoke music. With our new karaoke equipment, the Theatre department
will be able to hold fundraising events with the fun of live karaoke! We will be announcing special karaoke nights soon!
